Initial Setup for the Cotton Candy Machine
Once you first receive your cotton candy machine, there are a few things which must be filled within the cotton candy machine in order to get it ready for operation:
Candy Sticks
Candy sticks are used to allow the customers to hold and eat the cotton candy coming from the machine without making a mess. The machine will come with candy sticks for your first few batches of candy, and additional sticks can be purchased from Remarc Vending.
Sugar
There are four flavors of sugar that need to be filled to allow customers a variety of patterns and combinations of flavors that will keep them coming back to the machine for more! The machine will come with each flavor of sugar for the first few batches of candy, and additional sugar can be purchased from Remarc Vending.
Clean Water
Clean water is essential to keeping the interior of the machine the proper humidity to prevent issues from occurring during the candy making process. IN addition, the clean water will spray after each candy is dispensed, keeping the interior of the machine slightly cleaner. Note: The machine should still be cleaned regularly. These steps will need to be repeated whenever any of these items gets low or runs out.
Loading Candy Sticks
Candy sticks are stored above the main cabinet. To access the candy stick bin, open the front door left door or the upper back door of the cotton candy machine.
The sticks should be removed from their packaging and placed lengthwise in the candy stick bin, as shown in this image. Candy sticks can be loaded up until they reach the top of the candy stick bin, but should not cause it to overflow, as this could result in candy sticks feeding incorrectly into the control arm in the main cabinet below.
Ensure is nothing else stored or loaded into the candy stick bin. Ensure that there are no obstructions in the loading mechanism next to the candy stick bin such as wires or stuck candy sticks.
Loading Sugar
The sugar containers are located to the left of the main cabinet. Open the front left door to access the sugar containers.
The caps for the sugar containers are behind a locked plate. This plate also shows the correct colors for each corresponding sugar container. Once the plate is removed, each cap can be twisted off to allow a funnel (included with the machine) to be inserted and the appropriately-flavored sugar to be poured into the container. Fill the container to the top without allowing any sugar to overflow out of the sugar containers. Then, screw the lids of the containers back on and lock the plate back into place over the sugar containers.
Ensure that nothing else is put into the sugar containers besides sugar. Ensure the sugar is not wet or partially melted prior to being loaded into the sugar containers, and this could clog up the sugar tubes and prevent the machine from functioning correctly.
Loading the Clean Water Container
The clean water container is located below the main cabinet. Open the front right door of the cotton candy machine to access the clean water container.
The clean water container must be filled with clean water to allow the machine to control its internal humidity and perform brief internal cleaning after each successful candy vend. The clean water container should be filled at least 2/3rds of the way with clean water. The container can be removed from the machine to allow for ease of filling, or water can be poured into it via the cap on the front of it. Ensure all tubes are returned to inside of the clean water container after it is filled with water.
Ensure there is only clean water inside of the container, otherwise the water piping throughout the machine can get clogged and prevent proper machine function.
